One of
Nigeria’s great artists, Pita Ohiwerei, had a solo exhibition of his paintings
at Terra Kulture, Victoria Island, Lagos last year.
Tagged
‘Allow,’ the exhibition, was a collection of his new works that showed his unique technique including his style known as scratchee.
Born on September 2, 1963 in Nigeria, Ohiwerei attended Federal
Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State, and graduated with a distinction in painting. He
has carved a niche for himself through his works.
Many people
believe that his works are painted with beautiful effects.
