We Will not Accept Fake Results- Otti

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Dr. Alex Otti, has said that the party will not accept any result that did not correspond with the results obtained at the polling units.
He said that the results from the polling units across the state showed that APGA maintained a comfortable lead.
Otti told a press conference in Umuahia on Sunday shortly before the results were announced by INEC that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had doctored the results of the polls in the state to its favour.
He said that PDP used the Transition Committee Chairman of the local governments to falsify the results at the collation centres at the council headquarters.
He said that the matter had been reported to the highest authorities of the Independent National Electoral Commission and the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Prof. Selina Oko.
He said that there were cases of gunshots and snatching of result sheets by hoodlums in some local government areas, including Isialangwa South, Isialangwa North, Aba North, Aba South, Ugwunagbo, Arochukwu, Osisioma and Ohafia.
He further alleged that fictitious results were compiled from Nkporo, the home town of the Speaker of the state House of Assembly and Deputy Governorship candidate of PDP, Chief Ude Oko-Chukwu, when election did not take place in the area.
Otti said that the party would do everything legitimate to resist the results and appealed to its teeming supporters to remain calm.
