Every weekend September 2013 at 3pm and 6pm, many Lagosians
converge at Terrakulture, Lagos to watch a play, Pepper Soup, Elechi Amadi’s
bestseller. It was produced by Play factory, 2PM Media and Tuale Naija media.
Pepper Soup narrates
a story about Ofon, an emerging musician, his pregnant Nigerian girlfriend
and a white woman he befriends with grandiose promises. It all comes to a head
when all three people and Yaw’s meddlesome best friend have to live together
for a bit. Also, he has an overly inquisitive servant
who further complicates matters.
Popular On air personalities Yaw, Katherine Obiang, Tuebi Abide, Lawal Sherif and Lolo took to the
stage and brought to life the award winning play, Pepper Soup.
During its screening, a number of
celebrities attended the 3pm and 6pm screenings of the play and some of the
celebrities in the guests’ list included leading playwright, Sahara Group’s
Tonye Cole, Opa Williams, Nollywood actress Nse Ikpe Etim and Ghana’s Leonora
Okine.
MNET’S Rogers Ofime, fast rising act Timix,
actors KC Ejelonu and Uzor Osimkpa, on air personality, Tosyn Bucknor and
Nigerian Idol winner Moses also attended the show
