On the focus of the conference, the organizers said, “It is focused on the issues of youths, men and women in leadership across various sectors including business, politics, education, healthcare, religion and public service and designed to train, equip and empower individuals to successfully lead, pursue entrepreneurship, build wealth and increase their access to executive leadership positions as well as help build their country with honesty and integrity.
“The conference will equally feature an impressive roster of distinguished presenters and speakers; attendees, general session and panel discussions, networking events sessions geared toward young entrepreneurs, business aspirants and WETATi-Anne Reese Scholarship and Awards Banquet that would recognize trailblazers, emerging leaders,” it said.
The group revealed that one of the reasons it was holding the conference was to connect the youth, men and women to successful leaders as well as address challenges and disparity in education, fear of failure, improve negotiation skills and create a support programme like WETATi Centre 4 Creative Thinking, leadership and Business Development which can catapult them to the next level and equally expand the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs' mindsets as they become the leaders of tomorrow.
Brenda Chavis, Chief Operating Officer, WETATi Corporate who is coming to Nigeria for the first time said, “I am excited to be part of the initiative as this will be my first trip on African soil.
“I can feel the transformation already taking place in the lives of many; whereby the people are educated, have hope and enjoy good governance; the economy thrives, and the country flourishes. And that is a truism not just for Nigeria and Africa, but for countries all over the world,” she noted.
She disclosed that WETATi has been involved in transforming lives and developing businesses to empower and awaken women and men across the globe adding that the organization’s success stories have been heralded in cities and states across the States.
She said, “For any country to develop and meet the needs and expectations of its citizens there must be peace. Peaceful co-existence is a requirement for growth. Nigeria is endowed with natural resources, intellectual prowess and its geo-strategic location and natural blessings give an impetus for growth that has to be managed with prudence.
“WETATi is convinced that the leadership in Nigeria shares these same sentiments and strives to bridge the gap and as a global network of all generations, its main focus is achieved through their global programs like WETATi Center 4 Creative Thinking, Leadership and Business Development network: WETATi  of Today (ages 36 +); WETATi Next Generation (ages 17 – 35); and WETATi Daughters and Sons of Destiny (ages 7 – 16).
“It is an inclusive, local, national and international diversity – community conscious organization that seeks to empower women, young girls, and men of all ages with a mission to provide programs, seminars, conventions, conferences and summits for the WETATi of Today, Next Generation, and Daughters and Sons of Destiny that will propel them to greater heights within their communities”.
