Nigeria's popular artiste and foremost diva, Onyeka Onwenu, has
received a Life Time Achievement Award courtesy, The Image Awards of the
Nigerian Reunion Corporation.
She was honoured alongside other Nigerians including Trybe Records label CEO, El Dee Da Don and Chido Nwangwu, CEO of USAfrica.
Onyeka in her acceptance speech, said: “I’m honoured to receive this award today. This is a testament to the fact that my works have had a profound impact here in the US. I am greatly encouraged to continue to strive to contribute my own quota towards the growth and development of Nigeria through my gifts and talents. I am proud to be identified with the Image Awards of the NRC. ”
Nigerian Reunion Corporation, a 17 year old organisation, based in the USA is dedicated to promoting unity among Nigerians both at home and in the Diaspora.
The award, which was held in Houston, Texas, on July 6, had the cream the la crème of the Nigerian society in the US in attendance.
