TRADITIONAL DANCE AND TIE&DYE AT NIKE ART CENTRE!
FOR ADULTS:
Friday 9th August at 10am
Nike Art is holding a Tie & dye and Traditional dance workshop for
those of you who are interested in learning how to create some funky
textiles (or recreate an old garment) and learn some traditional dance
moves.
We provide all participants with a 100% cotton scarf, but please feel free to bring your own materials to dye.
A light lunch will also be available; sandwiches, fried yam, akara, puff-puff, water, tea and coffee (and biscuits).
The workshop is priced at ₦5,000 per person, starts at 10am sharp. This workshop will last for approximately 2 hours.
Confirmation of attendance is required. Please text Aina on 0813-154-8613 with names of participants.
FOR THE CHILDREN:
Children
are also invited to join in on the fun that day. Tie & Dye is a fun
creative activity that all children love! It's bright and vivid,
buckets of fun to make, and all in all a great excuse for an outdoor
party. It's no wonder this fashion phenomenon has survived decades of
summer trends worldwide. Watch the children's faces light up when the
first rubber band is removed from their tie dyed t-shirt. It is truly
amazing the designs that one can create with so few tools.
Children’s tie-dye will commence at 11am on Friday 9th August.
Tie & dye is N2,000 per child. Scarves will not be supplied for
the children and they are required to bring cotton Tshirts (or any
cotton garment). Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Please note, if bringing your own material to dye, the fabric must be 100% cotton and not too dark in colour.
If
you would like more information on the workshop, or have enquiries
about future workshops, please do not hesitate to contact us.
