150 episodes TV drama series debuts in October *Nollywood star, model declare love in Nigeria’s first telenovela






Nigerians will soon watch first locally produced telenovela drama series with 150 Episodes.
Titled ‘Taste of Love’, the drama series is produced by Nigerian’s leading production, content acquisition and distribution company, Micromedia Marketing Limited.
’Taste of Love’ is an acquired telenovela format from Latin America and Eastern Europe. An award –winning and best selling romance novel produced and adapted locally for Nigerian television audience.
It dates back to the Military Era of the 90’s in the History of Nigeria. It’s depicts the friendship, betrayal and hatred amongst Rival Sugar Cane Plantation Families, Musa- Phillips and Pepple.
Ibrahim Musa- Phillips is convinced that Jonathan Pepple has betrayed him and caused a death of his wife Maria. Until the real dark truth comes out, their children who fall in love with each other will have to overcome the family hatred.
This very first telenovela love series tells an intriguing story through 150 episodes involving three major families and two-love birds; “Hadiza” and “Kelechi”; the children of two rival sugarcane-growing families who are separated by their families past and will have to overcome countless obstacles to truly be together.
’Taste of Love’ goes beyond love, intrigue, suspense and betrayal. It portrays the wealth of our culture and governance.
Shot on Locations in Ilorin, Ibadan and Lagos. ‘Taste of Love’ is set to raise the bar in the delivery of quality entertainment to Nigerian populace. It is the first of its kind to be produced locally and set to start airing on terrestrial, cable, satellite, digital and mobile TV in October 2014.

In the same vein, fast rising  Nollywood star Blossom Chukwujekwu and top Nigerian model, Makida Moka play side by side in the first Nigerian telenovela drama series titled ’Taste Of Love’.
The drama series is made in Nigeria by Nigerians and stars Blossom Chukwujekwu as ‘Kelechi Pepple’ and Makida Moka as Hadiza Musa-Phillips.
Blossom Chukwujekwu is now fondly referred to as Nollywood's newest quintessential and bankable leading man. One of the Nigeria's more recent acting discoveries, his break out movie ‘Flower Girl’ has premiered to critical and commercial success in Nigeria, Ghana, the United Kingdom and film festivals in the United States and Canada. Blossom's next blockbuster feature film; ‘Finding Mercy’ was one of the most anticipated and successful movies of 2013. It was the closing film of the African International Film Festival (AFRIFF 2013) in Calabar. ‘Finding Mercy’ earned Blossom numerous award nominations including: Most outstanding Male Actor, Best Actor in a lead role, Best New Actor and Best Kiss (with Rita Dominic).
Blossom was profiled on African Magic's popular Nollywood show; Jara, as one of the top five actors to watch out for in 2013. He was number four on ace Nollywood director; Charles Novia's list of the best actors of 2013.
Makida Moka came into limelight in 2009, when she emerged the Face of Sleek, at the maiden edition of the competition. This caused a major twist in her modeling career ever since as her profile has been on the rise. She has paraded runways both local and international. She is one of the top models in the country.
Makida also has a passion for acting she has recently featured in the ongoing hit web series ‘Gidi-Up’ season 1 and 2.
