Documentary Concerns, a unit of Reputations Consulting and the compilers of the Fela-centred biographical anthology of poems, has called on Nigerians to send in letters of thanks for the celebration of the sage and ‘’Father of African literature,’’ Prof Chinua Achebe and Nigeria at 100.
According to a renowned author, Mr. Chike Ofili, “as Achebe will be committed to the bosom of Mother Earth on May 23, and as Nigeria marks 100 years of colonial marriage as a nation, a historical contact that Achebe’s epochal novel Things Fall Apart put in African perspective, you are encouraged to write not more than 1,000 words of your well-thought and well-written letter of thanks reflecting the mix of his essence, his writing and Nigeria at 100 anniversary to Prof. Chinua Achebe through the editor, chikeofili@yahoo.com.”
He noted that submission of letters will close on May 30, as they target his 83rd birthday on November 16 as public presentation date for the published book.
