In
commemoration of reggae legend, Bob Marley, lovers of reggae were entertained
by reggae stars in Nigeria on May 11.
Tagged: “Lively up yourself,” the event which commenced
at 9 pm, took place at Mozida Lounge, 65, Toyin Street, Opebi/Allen Round
about, Ikeja, Lagos.It is organised by Dance Hall Train TV and Roc Da Mic, and supported by Mic-Dunamis Global Concepts.
Born February, 1945, this Jamaican singer, songwriter and musician, though dead still lives on through the legacy he left behind, which are his songs. His sojourn in music world for 18 years (1963 – 1981) brought both spiritual and mental emancipation from slavery to his fans. His Rastafari movement and ideology will never fade as his faithful all over the world are still adhering to his beliefs. He died of cancer in 1981 at the age of 36.
