Annotating his songs based on what he
perceives within his orbit and highly influenced by the nature of musical
instruments and their arrangement are the basic elements which inspire this
young artiste into creating good music for his fans and listeners at large.
Growing up, he has drawn inspiration from the likes of King Sunny Ade, Chief
Ebenezer Obey, Kwam1 De Ultimate, Sir Shina Peters and the late Fela Kuti; as such one tends to hear a rich infusion of the different local
genres of music embedded into his songs. As he's constantly optimizing his art,
he's to be classified under the Pop-genre of
music and as an entertainer, he puts out this new offering titled "Do Me Well", a commercial Pop tune which relates to all dance floors [clubs & bars] and also radio; basically, this is a tune
for the old, average and young minded beings to relate with.
Previously signed on to K-Solo Incorporated Music [K.I.M], Ojeey Mami [real name - Nelson Ojeriakhi] sees music as a medium to express himself and let out his feelings, such in a way to touch the lives of listeners positively; he released a track titled "Omo Mummie" under the K-Solo imprint a year ago but has since left the label and released 2 singles ["Jo Funmi" & "Serubawon", featuring LKT] about a month ago. Currently signed on to Kosoro Music Productions [owned by Kosoro, the prolific producer], the young artiste who is full of life quickly lets out his 1st official single with his new label - the Kosoro-produced "Do Me Well".
Speaking on the song, "Do Me Well", Ojeey Mami says: "the inspiration for this tune came from an experience I had at a friend's birthday party; I had identified a pretty sex symbol who had also stared at me whilst having fun at the party, but would heed to me probably because she was a much older and more mature lady as compared to my young self. I tried to woo her as much as I could making serious intentions known to her, but...; anyways, I picked up the much-needed inspiration from the experience and carved out this commercial song for the masses to relate with".
"Do Me Well" is an offering created on an Allegro [109 - 132 BPM] tempo [125 BPM, to be precise] by the C.E.O of Kosoro Music Productions himself, Kosoro, and he has this to say: "music production for me began as a child's play, I found myself putting a couple of tunes together and in no time, I had started thinking of what sort of dance song I could come up with. Overlooking the regular talk about Nigerian artistes making the same type of music, I created a fast-tempo tune of 125 BPM for this offering and in a couple of hours, we were done; I got the name "Kosoro" from an artiste I worked with at Kaduna before moving to Lagos and considering my calm and gentle nature, the name settled in perfectly".
Ojeey Mami looks on to working with the like of 9ice, Onyeka Onwenu, 2face Idibia, Vybes Kartel and a couple of others, just to mention a few; until then, listen up to "Do Me Well", share your thoughts and anticipate more music [new singles & videos] from the new Kosoro Music Productions recording artiste. | ENJOY!!!
