MODEL OF THE MONTH: DAVID AVWUNUVWERHI

For the month of November i interviewed a handsome and stylish man! Ladies and gents, I present to you our Model Of The Month, David Avwunuvwerhi, popularly known as GQ!

David Avwunuvwerhi is a Lagos based model from Delta State, Nigeria. He is not just a model, but also the Fashion Editor of Boss Africa Magazine. His recognitions include: nomination for Face of Fab and AMAA (Most Promising Model of the year 2011). He is a Gemini, born on 12th of June. He has been modeling for a year and half and he is represented by Isis Models, Nigeria.

His credits of work include: Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Arise Magazine Fashion Week 2011/02, Payin D’ Afriqu, Fesman, AFI, MMR, MTN Gala Night, Mode Men, Etisalat Barcode and lot more…

With measurements like 6ft height, 30″ waist and 36″ chest, David‘s body is a sight to see. What I personally like about him is his strong face and the way he sports clothes. Confidence is surely the word that best describes him!

MrsHustle: What or who inspired you to become a model?

David: Was scout by a fashion writer Ada Dike then, she was working with News Star newspaper as Fashion Editor.

MrsHustle: Why do you like modeling?

David: Travelling, meeting new people, be the first to wear the latest trends.

MrsHustle: Who has influenced you the most in your life?

David: My Brother Ejiro, My Manager Joan Okorodudu and my one and only Boss Furobel the publisher of Boss Magazine.

MrsHustle: What is your passion?

David: My Family.

MrsHustle: Describe your fashion style

David: Am a Denim Boy lol!

MrsHustle: Who is your fashion icon?

David: David Bowler.

MrsHustle: What do you like doing in your spare time?

David: Playing PS3 games, soccer and swimming.

MrsHustle: How often do you work out?

David: Once a week.

MrsHustle: Where do you like hanging out?

David: Melrose Arch, at Santon Jo’Burg.

MrsHustle: You can’t live without?

David: GOD.

MrsHustle: What is your most favourite item in your wardrobe?

David: My Green Can footwear and my Bvlgari wrist watch.

MrsHustle: Who is your favourite fashion designer?

David: D&G and David Bowler (DB).

MrsHustle: What do you think of Nigerian fashion and Nigerian designers?

David: Our fashion is doing pretty cool and is far better than 5 years ago, so proud of designers like David Bowler, Deola Sagoe, Adebayo Jones for representing Nigeria abroad and showcasing our culture and style! It gives me pleasure!
