Youth corps members exhibit talents at Gidi Culture festival

Known as a strong advocate of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme with a strong belief that youth empowerment is key to the development of the society, Gidi Culture Festival has not relented in creating an opportunity for the Nigerian youth to discover their talents.
At the Road to Gidi Culture Festival, which kicked off with a free at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) camp in Lagos November last year, upcoming artistes including Nedu, Flowsick, Blink, Tesh Carter and Sammy exhibited their talents.
"The Gidi Culture festival is all about empowering the youth as well as ensuring that entertainment is affordable and accessible to the youth" said Chin Okeke, Founder of Eclipse Live.
He further said that provided unknown artistes such as Uchman an opportunity to showcase their music to the crowd of over 3000, as well as sharing a stage with up and coming acts such as Nedu, Flowsick, Blink, Tesh Carter and Sammy.
“We are looking forward to organising a similar concert after the success that we had last year. It is important that we carry on engaging with the youth through the power of music and reminding them of their responsibilities to their communities and the society as a whole,” Okeke added.
The Gidi Culture Festival is scheduled to take place in March, with a line-up which boasts some of Nigeria's hottest young musical acts.
