“The President and Commander-in-Chief constantly says that his ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian. Those are the words of a good soul, a gentleman par excellence. On the other hand, the retired General has encouraged his followers to mix the ballot papers with the blood of dogs and baboons. Buhari’s exact words are: “If what happened in 2011 should again happen in 2015, by the grace of God, the dog and the baboon would all be soaked in blood.
That is an outrageous signpost to violence, insurgency and terrorism, a road this country no longer wishes to travel ever again.”
“Buhari has often been painted as the Messiah Nigerians have been
waiting for. This is turning truth and logic on the head. For the
avoidance of doubt, General Muhammadu Buhari is not the saviour Nigeria
has been waiting for.
The truth is that under Buhari’s ‘Holier-Than-Thou’ facade lurks a smelly throat of evil. When he lost the 2011 polls, Buhari once again took up arms against democracy, this time through fuelling insurgency and terrorism. He and his supporters had sworn to make Nigeria ungovernable should Jonathan win the election. As the immediate fallout of this threat, youth corps members who officiated in the polls became the target of attacks, with many of these innocent young Nigerians slain in cold-blood by Buhari’s supporters. Not done, he took insurgency to a new height, blindly driving Nigeria into the deadly attack of the terrorist group, Boko Haram.
Instead of standing for election, Buhari should in fact be standing trial before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for crimes against humanity over the killing of thousands of Nigerians in the ongoing insurgency and terrorism instigated by him and his supporters.”
Can President Jonathan be dismissed as an idle civilian, who has spent his years in office carousing only? Has he spent the last years merely in idleness and cluelessness as is being portrayed in a section of the media?
The answer is no. And may God forgive our ingratitude. May God overlook our injustice against a leader who has worked hardest for thepeace, unity and development of this nation, despite all the obstacles placed in his path."
