EMIR OF KANO VISITS TINUBU, OBA OF LAGOS

The emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II has paid two separate courtesy calls on the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Babatunde Akiolu I.
Sources close to the APC leader who spoke with LEADERSHIP yesterday on condition of anonymity said the emir was on a thank you visit to the duo, following the role they played in his emergence as the revered Kano monarch.
The source added that Emir Sanusi visited Oba Akiolu on Saturday and paid another visit to Tinubu at his Ikoyi residence yesterday.
The source said, “Yes! The emir of Kano was at the Ikoyi home of Asiwaju Tinubu to see him today,” adding that the meeting was held behind closed doors.
Emir Sanusi was escorted to the Ikoyi residence of Tinubu by Oba Akiolu yesterday afternoon.
“The only thing I know is that it was a thank you visit to Asiwaju owing to the role he played in his emergence as the emir,” the source added.
Emir Sanusi had earlier gone to meet with the Lagos monarch at his Iga Iduganran Palace on Saturday alongside his palace staff
